We hope you all are healthy and safe during this time of tremendous change and uncertainty.
We are pleased to have been able to offer a limited reopening, which began January 15, 2021, after choosing to close for the previous 10 months due to our commitment to do our part to try to curb the Covid pandemic spread. We continue to endorse vaccination, masking and other precautions for the good of all.
We have cautiously opened at limited capacity to guests who are, hopefully, now vaccinated more than two weeks from the reservation, who have not been ill or exposed in the prior two weeks, and who are willing to comply with our onsite measures to reduce risk to both guests and staff. Given some uncertainty yet about risk of spread, we are asking guests, vaccinated or not, out of consideration for others, to continue distancing, avoidance of group congregation, and use of masks when outside of cabins when a six foot distance cannot be maintained, and within common buildings such as the store and dressing rooms.
We have closed the pool and property to direct access by outside day visitors for now, offering reserved time slots for pool use through the day to cabin guests. This has proven to allow more than ample, easy, safe access.
Thank you for your kindness and understanding as we embark on this new and challenging chapter. Now, more than ever, we need the serenity, reflection, and warmth toward each other that Burgdorf has offered us all for more than 155 years.
